Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform asset criticality assessment to identify assets needs to be reviewed for Risk Based
Inspection
2. Hands on experience with Corrosion loop development and Inspection drawing preparation with CMLs and TMLs
3. Well versed with ASME design standards for fixed equipment and API-510, 570, 580, 581
inspection standards
4. Should have thorough understanding of NDT techniques and its applicability
5. Should have expert level knowledge about damage Mechanism and its applicability to
asset/component considering metallurgy and process
6. Convergent with developing Corrosion Control Document based on API RP 970
7. Well convergent with different Integrity data management systems like PCMS, Meridium,
Capestone, Visions, UltraPIPE
8. Owns all corrosion related data and deliverables including Corrosion Systems, Ciruitization, API RBI, Risk Review, and Inspection Planning
9. Facilitate Corrosion Review, Risk Review, and Inspection Planning Review sessions with client
10. Hands on experience working with backend and frontend of PCMS - Asset Integrity Module
11. Pre-review all deliverables to ensure corrosion processes and principles are applied to Client standards and best practices
12. Provide guidance to other team members to ensure corrosion risks, damage mechanisms, and safety are considered in all efforts
13. Responsible for collecting and ensuring all process related data that will be utilized in the
Risk Results are current and accurate
15. Responsible for ensuring the assigned damage mechanism provided by the Corrosion SME are correctly applied in the RBI calculator
Candidate profile:
1. Engineering degree or a high school diploma/GED in Mechanical/Metallurgy
2. Minimum 16-20 years refinery experience as corrosion engineer employed by owner-
operator company as a Corrosion/Materials engineer in a refinery
4. Possess a good understanding of Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) and NDE techniques and applications (UT, RT, PT, AUT, PAUT, RTR)
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
6. Experience reviewing and interpreting job/project packages (P&IDs, equipment drawings, engineering drawings, etc.)
7. Must have valid work authorization to work in the US. This opportunity is open to Canadian citizens willing to work in the US.
